Frequently asked questions

Is my data private?

Yes. There are no accounts and no servers of ours. Your collection lives on your device and, if you use iCloud, in your own private iCloud. Photos never leave the device you added them on. See the Privacy Policy.

How do I add a watch?

On the Collection tab, tap +. Use the switch at the top to add it to your Collection or your Wish List. You can add photos, specs, purchase details, and notes.

How does the Accuracy Meter work?

Open the Clock tab and pick a watch. When your watch’s second hand reaches the top (0), tap Capture. Fullwind compares it with atomic time and shows how many seconds fast or slow it is. Take another reading a day or more later, and it calculates the rate in seconds per day.

Do I need to set my watch to atomic time first?

No. The rate comes from how the offset changes between readings, so a watch that’s already a few seconds off is fine. Just keep it within about 30 seconds of the correct time while you measure.

Why doesn’t my data sync between my iPhone and iPad?

Make sure you’re signed into the same Apple Account in iCloud on both devices and have a network connection. You can check the status in Settings › iCloud Sync inside the app. Photos are stored per device and don’t sync.

How do service reminders work?

On the Service tab, log a service and choose its interval. Fullwind works out when the next one is due and sends a notification on that day. Allow notifications when asked to receive them.

Can I back up or move my collection?

Yes. In Settings, use Export to JSON to save your collection and wish list to a file, and Import from JSON to bring it back on any device. Duplicates are skipped. Photos aren’t included in the file.
